Hardwood Pizza Cutter
There is nothing quite like a home cooked, wood fired pizza, there is no comparison! If you are (like us) the type of people who consider pizza to be essential life stuff then this cutter is surely something you need in your pizza arsenal! Despite the cutter not having a metal blade, the hardwood and beveled edge combine to make cutting pizza an easy and enjoyable part of dinner. Simply rock back and forth with the cutter, exerting only a light pressure and before too long you'll have slices to share (or not).
This will make a unique gift for a summer al fresco get together, a house warming gift, and will make an ideal Father's Day gift. You could also consider this as a great 5th wedding anniversary, which of course (as you well know) is celebrated by exchanging wooden gifts.
We only source and use local hardwood, no further than 30 miles from our workshop and we utilise what is at the mill when we visit. This means your order can be made from various hardwoods, including sycamore, elm and oak. These hardwoods have been sourced from storm fallen trees, ensuring a sustainable approach to our work. Grain, knots and colouration may differ from piece to piece, giving you a unique, one-off piece and may differ from the photos you see here.
Each cutter is unique and once cut, we nourish it with food safe chopping board oil, twice. Your cutter is full of character and the grain will vary, there may also be knots and natural markings which should be considered part of it's beauty. There is a makers mark branded onto one side of the cutter.
If you feel your cutter is looking a little tired after a few years, you can still rejuvenate it again very easily with a light sand and reseal with chopping board oil.
Our cutters are made from native British hardwood and the overall size is approximately 19cm wide x 15cm x .7cm.
There is a central hole to provide an ergonomic grip, which makes the required rocking motion very easy.
Please hand wash only, wipe clean and please avoid scrubbing with abrasives. NOT suitable for a dishwasher or microwave.
